Ordering clothes online is easy until the parcel arrives and the fit is wrong. Kurtis and co-ord sets are forgiving, but a few minutes with a measuring tape saves you an exchange. Here is how to find your size.
What you need
A soft measuring tape, a mirror, and a kurti or top that already fits you well.
The three measurements that matter
- Bust: measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hip: measure around the fullest part of your hips, with your feet together.
Keep the tape snug but not tight, and breathe normally.
The shortcut: measure a garment you love
Lay your best-fitting kurti flat, button or zip it, and measure straight across the chest from armpit to armpit. Double that number and compare it to the garment measurements on our product pages. This is often more accurate than body measurements because it includes the ease you like.
Choosing between two sizes
If you fall between sizes, size up for kurtis and co-ord sets. A slightly relaxed fit looks better and is more comfortable than a tight one, especially in cotton, which does not stretch.
Kurti length guide
- Short (hip length): best with jeans and trousers.
- Mid (mid-thigh to knee): the most versatile length for palazzos and pants.
- Long (below knee): traditional look with churidar or leggings.
Co-ord set fit tips
Co-ord tops are usually relaxed, so choose by your bust measurement. For the bottoms, check the hip measurement first; most of our co-ord trousers have an elasticated waist that adjusts easily.
